Set in the year 2071, Cowboy Bebop follows the lives of a bounty hunter crew traveling in their spaceship called the Bebop. Although it covers a wide range of genres throughout its run, Cowboy Bebop draws most heavily from science fiction, western and noir films, and its most recurring thematic focal points include adult existential ennui, loneliness and the difficulties of trying to escape one's past.

Cowboy Bebop is a classic Japanese animated series set In 2071, roughly fifty years after an accident with a hyperspace gateway made the Earth almost uninhabitable, where humanity has colonised most of the rocky planets and moons of the Solar System. Amid a rising crime rate, the Inter Solar System Police (ISSP) set up a legalised contract system, in which registered bounty hunters (also referred to as "Cowboys") chase criminals and bring them in alive in return for a reward.

Here we have the iconic moment from the Ballad of Fallen Angels, in which Spike and Vicious duke it out on the balcony of the cathedral. As you can see, Spike has his gun whilst Vicious is armed with his sword, and behind them is the infamous stained glass window.
